Pit Bulls that are not pitbulls
Here's a perfect example of "genes" the dog on the left would be labelled as a pitbull and either, poisoned, stabbed, shot, fed sausages and razor blades, and/or stolen and tied to a pole outside the next counties dog pound, (all tactics used and recommended by DBO Cultists) and it's a perfect example of a mixed breed dog with no APBT in it at all and yet it looks like a pitbull?
.
Litter mates? They look completely different!
Casey and Carrie are 8-year-old littermates who are said to be a mix of Lab/German Shepherd/Boxer. Whatever their mix is, it is unique and very striking! Casey is a big boy, weighing in at 92 pounds. Carrie is 67 pounds. Carrie and Casey have lived with other dogs and are reportedly appropriately social when meeting new dogs. They have not ever lived with or been observed around cats. The pair have always spent their days outside but have been brought in at night to sleep with their family’s children or in the family home Ideally they will be able to be inside during the day if they so desire in their new home Both dogs can do stairs and since they are what we consider to be “young seniors” they would more than likely enjoy getting out for walks and exercise on a regular basis. Carrie has been known to jump a 4 foot fence so a taller fence is a must for her safety Casey is said to be a very happy dog who is always delighted to see people and is described as “a goofball”. Carrie is described as “very smart and quiet”; she loves receiving attention. The hope is that Carrie and Casey can remain together as they have always been. They are currently in Snohomish, WA. ready for their forever home. For contact information email: placement@olddoghaven.org ODH has not met this dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
